I was born into a family of Chinese literati, where my grandfather nurtured my love for poetry, painting, and calligraphy from an early age.
My hometown has a profound connection to the art of calligraphy, notably through Wenfeng Mountain, which is home to over 30 fifth-century carved calligraphic steles. These masterpieces are revered by scholars from across Asia, who study them meticulously in situ.
During my studies at ENSAPC in France, I met François Bon, whose literary workshops inspired me to delve deeper into my heritage. Drawing from both the ancient traditions of Chinese calligraphy and the modern artistic spirit I encountered in France, I explore a dialogue between East and West, tradition and innovation. This fusion leads me to create art that reflects on these interactions, giving rise to new ideas in painting, performance, and writing.
